- Stock on the fastest-moving sizes — POLARIS PLP10 and PLP20, KAPPA KP20 and KP30 groups — for same-day or few-day delivery.
- Full catalogue range: aluminium and cast iron gear pumps and motors, variable displacement piston pumps, flow dividers, Ikron filters.
- Original spare parts and overhaul kits, for both current and older series.
- Support in choosing: whether you have the code of the pump to be replaced or only the machine data, our technical team identifies the correct model or its equivalent.
How to request a supply
The quickest way is to send us the full code stamped on the pump body (e.g. PLP20.20-D0-82E2-LMA/MA-N-EL) through the form on this page or by calling +39 0828 301 272. If the nameplate is unreadable — which happens often on machines with years of service — a photo of the component and the machine data are enough: we trace the code ourselves. For quotation requests, please also state quantities and the timeframe in which you need the part.
Casappa flow dividers
Casappa gear-type flow dividers split the flow of a single pump between several consumers, keeping the ratio constant regardless of the load on each branch. They are the solution used when two or more cylinders must move in sync — boom lifting, platforms, stabilisers, tailgates — without installing a separate pump for each movement.
On agricultural and lifting machinery, this is the component that determines whether a boom rises straight or goes out of square under unbalanced load. TFS supplies catalogue flow dividers and verifies their sizing against pump flow and actuator stroke: an undersized divider causes pressure drops and oil heating.
Casappa: Italian-made hydraulic pumps and motors since 1952
Since 1952 Casappa has designed and manufactured hydraulic pumps and motors in the heart of the Parma industrial district. Founded by Roberto Casappa with the historic “Pompa d’oro” – the first Italian gear pump, built as a spare part for the American tipper trucks left in Italy after the war – the company is today led by the third generation of the Casappa family through the FINREL S.p.A. holding, with consolidated revenue of 200 million euro and around 1,000 employees. Since March 2026 the Casappa brand has been listed in the Special Register of Historic Trademarks of National Interest.
The group operates five production plants in Italy (Lemignano di Collecchio, headquarters with the new 10,300 sqm logistics hub opened in 2024), the United States (Batavia, Illinois), China (Shanghai), India (Bangalore) and South Korea, with a sales network across every continent. The portfolio expanded in 1997 with Ikron (hydraulic filters) and in 2022 with Tecnord (electronic controls), creating an integrated pump + filter + electronics chain under a single family management.
Casappa has been ISO 9001 certified since 2002 and has obtained and maintained SQEP Caterpillar qualification (Supplier Quality Excellence Process) at its three main plants (Italy, China, USA), one of the most demanding recognitions for OEM suppliers in the earthmoving sector. Its products are fitted on tractors, combine harvesters, excavators, articulated dumpers, wheel loaders, forklifts, presses and machine tools from the leading global manufacturers.
The sectors where Casappa makes the difference
Casappa is a leader in mobile and industrial applications. The strongest sectors, particularly relevant to the TFS portfolio:
- Agricultural machinery – tractors, combine harvesters, sprayers, brush cutters, balers, seed drills, front loaders: POLARIS PLP pump on the main circuit, gear flow dividers for cylinder synchronisation, in-tank Ikron filters.
- Construction and earthmoving machinery – mini and full-size excavators, wheel loaders, dumpers, motor graders, dozers: MVPe variable displacement pumps for the working circuit, cast iron KAPPA or WHISPER for auxiliary circuits, SQEP Caterpillar qualification.
- Industrial and on-highway vehicles – site vehicles, hooklifts, cranes, compactors, buses: cast iron PHP pumps for PTO, TVP at 400 bar for heavy-duty applications, LFP/LFM pumps for closed circuits.
- Lifting and handling – telehandlers, forklifts, aerial platforms: PHP/PH pumps for skid steers and forklifts, MVP pumps for lifting, flow dividers for boom synchronisation.
- Stationary industry – presses, machining centres, machine tools, rolling, packaging: cast iron KAPPA, MAGNUM and HDP pumps, LVP pumps interchangeable with A10VSO for centralised systems.
- Mining and quarrying – mining machinery, articulated quarry dumpers, large wheel loaders: MAGNUM group 40 pumps up to 180.73 cm³/rev and STRADA pumps up to 110 cm³/rev / 400 bar.

Casappa pump spare parts and repair
With a failed Casappa pump there are two routes: replacement with a new component or overhaul of the existing unit. The second is almost always preferable when the body is not structurally damaged, and it is often faster than sourcing a new part in the less common sizes.
TFS repairs and overhauls the POLARIS, KAPPA, MVP, MVPe, STRADA and LVP series at its Battipaglia workshop: complete disassembly, dimensional inspection, lapping and grinding of sealing surfaces, replacement of worn parts with original spares and final testing under load on the test bench. The component returns to the customer with verified performance, not merely «repaired».
We also work on Casappa pumps fitted in other manufacturers’ systems, and on units where the pump has to be replaced with an equivalent: hydraulic pump and motor repair covers the whole process, from diagnosis to testing.
Frequently asked questions about Casappa pumps and distribution
Where can you buy Casappa pumps in Italy?
Casappa sells through a network of authorised distributors. TFS Oleodinamica is an Authorised Casappa Distributor and supplies pumps, motors, flow dividers and original spare parts throughout Italy, with stock on the fastest-moving sizes and technical support in choosing the model.
How much does a Casappa pump cost?
There is no single price: it depends on the series (aluminium or cast iron), the displacement, the working pressure, the port and shaft configuration and the quantities. The quickest way to get a reliable figure is to send the full pump code, or a photo of the component if the nameplate is unreadable, and receive a quotation on the exact part.
How do you read a Casappa pump code?
The code stamped on the body identifies series, group, displacement, direction of rotation, flange and shaft type and port configuration. It is the string needed to order the exact replacement. If it is unreadable or the component has been repainted, the model can be traced from the machine data and the component measurements.
POLARIS in aluminium or KAPPA in cast iron: which is better?
It depends on the application. The aluminium POLARIS series is lighter and more compact, suited to mobile machinery where weight matters. The cast iron KAPPA series, with two-piece construction, withstands higher peak pressures and is the usual choice for stationary industrial systems and heavy-duty circuits.
Can a Casappa pump be repaired, or must it be replaced?
In most cases it can be repaired. Overhaul is worthwhile when the pump body is sound and wear affects gears, bushings and seals: it costs less than new and, with bench testing, restores performance. Replacement becomes preferable in case of structural damage to the body or seizures that have compromised the seats.
Are Casappa pumps interchangeable with other brands?
In many cases yes, keeping SAE or DIN interfaces. Casappa POLARIS and KAPPA gear pumps replace the corresponding Bosch Rexroth Silence/AZPF series, while the LVP piston series is interchangeable with the Bosch Rexroth A10VSO. Verification must be made against the actual circuit data: displacement, pressure, direction of rotation and dimensions.
