MP Filtri was founded in Pessano con Bornago, in the province of Milan, in 1964. It is a family-owned public company now in its second generation, with over 280 employees and a vertically integrated production cycle in Italy: from the aluminum foundry in Lurano (BG) to the Pessano plants for filters and filter elements, up to the 1,200-square-meter R&D laboratory. This base is complemented by sites in Bourton-on-the-Water in the United Kingdom (Contamination Monitoring Products division) and Quakertown, Pennsylvania, as well as a network of nine direct offices and distributors in over one hundred countries.

The product range is organized into four complementary divisions: filters and filter elements for hydraulic systems, contamination monitoring devices, power transmission components for motor-pump coupling, and mobile filtration units (MFUs) for offline servicing. Operating pressures range from a few bar for return filters up to 420 bar in-line and 1,000 bar in stainless steel configurations. Flow rates range from 15 l/min for compact mobile units to 3,000 l/min for return filters in heavy-duty industrial applications. All inorganic microfiber filter elements are tested according to ISO 16889 with βx(c) = 1000, and the CMP division uses ISO 11171-calibrated particle counters compliant with ISO 4406, NAS 1638, and SAE AS 4059.
