CMC Marine – Authorized Distributor for TFS Oleodinamica
CMC Marine Distributor in Italy – Specializing in the Marine Sector
CMC Marine: World Leader in Yacht Stabilization
Founded in 2005 in Como by Engineer Alessandro Cappiello, now headquartered in Cascina (Pisa) and 100% owned by the Cappiello family, CMC Marine is the global benchmark for stabilization systems, wheelhouses, and maneuvering propellers dedicated to the 12- to 100-meter yacht and superyacht segment. The company has more than doubled its revenue over the past three years, reaching 35 million euros in 2024. It employs approximately 90 people and operates from six locations: Cascina and Vicopisano (Pisa), Milan (R&D), Salerno (new 10,000-square-meter facility inaugurated in 2024), Poole (United Kingdom), and Fort Lauderdale (Florida).
CMC Marine was awarded the Dame Award at MetsTrade in Amsterdam in 2011 for the Stabilis Electra, the world’s first brushless electric stabilizer fin, patented in 2012 under EU Patent No. 2172394. Over 3,000 CMC systems are installed on yachts and megayachts: approximately one-third of the fin stabilization systems on the global market are CMC-branded. Leading OEM shipyards include: Sanlorenzo, Benetti, Codecasa, Mangusta, Sunseeker, Custom Line, Cantiere delle Marche, and Azimut Yachts.
The latest innovations for 2025 include the Energy Recovery System inspired by Formula 1’s KERS (reducing fuel consumption by up to 30%) and the DC Hi-Voltage configuration for hybrid yachts with battery packs and DC-bus. For shipyards that maintain traditional hydraulic architectures, CMC Marine offers the Stabilis Mechanica (SM) line and Dualis Hydraulic thrusters, a long-standing complement to the electric range. ISO 9001:2015 RINA certified since 2017.
Marine sector: yachts, superyachts, and megayachts
CMC Marine operates exclusively in the naval and luxury yachting sectors, where TFS maintains a direct presence. Typical applications:
- Planing yachts from 12 to 50 meters (Sunseeker, Riva, Pershing, Mangusta), speeds over 24 knots: typically Stabilis Electra HS or Waveless STAB.
- Semi-displacement yachts from 30 to 70 meters (Benetti, Cantiere delle Marche): Stabilis Electra HS or LR, winners of the 2022 World Superyacht Awards.
- Displacement yachts from 40 to 100 meters (Benetti Diamond, Mangusta, Codecasa, Custom Line): Stabilis Electra LR + Dualis + Directa integrated via Argo.
- Megayachts over 70 meters: new LR180 and LR250 for the top segment of the market, with fins up to 7 m².
- Commercial passenger vessels over 16 meters and over 500 GT: Directa 140 certified wheelhouse, the only fully electric wheelhouse with this certification.
- Yacht refits with hydraulic architecture – OEM shipyards and refitters requiring the Stabilis Mechanica or Dualis Hydraulic line: complete hydraulic integration with Bosch Rexroth valves and Alfagomma piping.
