Emmegi: Heat Exchangers Made in Italy since 1980

Emmegi is the Italian manufacturer specializing in heat exchangers for the hydraulic industry. The company is headquartered in Cassano d’Adda (MI); it has maintained a single-category focus, enabling technological leadership in vacuum brazing of heat exchangers and product customization. UNI EN ISO 9001 certified since 1988—over 35 years of uninterrupted quality management—the company operates with a risk-based approach and pays particular attention to the application needs of OEM manufacturers.

The product range is organized into five families. The HPA, HPA Compact, HPA Larger, HPA TK (for concrete mixers at 1 bar), 2000K, and Mobile series air-oil heat exchangers cover flow rates from 10 to 900 lpm with an operating pressure of 20 bar and a test pressure of 35 bar. The MG (tube bundle) and PB (brazed plate) series water-oil heat exchangers handle temperatures up to 230 °C and operating pressures of 23 bar. The SILENT EVO 3, RID, and DCO standalone cooling units operate on a recirculation system with extremely low noise levels. Specialized lines include ATEX-certified HPΕx and HPAM for offshore marine environments.

Emmegi’s distinctive achievement is UNI EN 15085-CL1 certification for Class 1 railway welds, the highest of the four classes specified by the European standard. Few Italian heat exchanger manufacturers hold this standard, which enables Emmegi to supply components for locomotives, passenger cars, freight trains, subways, and trams. For the offshore marine sector, the HPAM series is certified to ISO 12944 corrosion class C5 with a 480-hour neutral salt spray test in accordance with UNI EN ISO 9227.
