TFS is taking part in the OMC 2019 conference, a key event for the oil and gas sector (and related energy production) in the Mediterranean basin.

The organisers have provided some truly impressive statistics on attendance at the OMC conference in Ravenna (click here to download the guide):

  • 30,000+ square metres (+19% compared to the previous edition)
  • 20,603+ participants (12% increase compared to the previous edition)
  • 7 exhibition halls
  • 634 exhibitors
  • 33 countries
  • 31 sponsors
  • 20 supporting organisations
  • 33 media outlets
  • 1,221 registered delegates
  • 115 selected articles
  • 85 digital content items
  • 27 technical sessions
  • 2 institutional meetings
  • 3 panel discussions
  • 11 side events

Roberto Cimino is ENI’s Vice-President for R&D Planning, as well as Chair of the OMC 2019 Programme Committee. His overview is particularly interesting: “During the period of falling oil prices, industry operators worked hard to become more competitive by reducing costs, optimising project execution, investing in more profitable assets and placing an emphasis on technological innovation. For all these reasons, we believe the sector is now ready to enter a phase of expansion, which will act as a driver for economic growth in the Mediterranean basin.”

In line with these evidence-based recommendations, Cimino emphasises the capacity of new technologies “to further reduce costs, improve operational efficiency, and steer the energy sector towards a sustainable future”.

To better understand the key drivers of development in the oil and gas industry, participants can attend numerous technical sessions, including:

Tecno Fluido Service Srl will be attending the conference with its own delegation (Hall 1, Stand H9). This represents an important opportunity to organise meetings with more than 20,000 key decision-makers from the oil and gas industry.

Tecno Fluid Service has been operating since 1997 and is attending the OMC 2019 event with its many years of experience in the sector, offering innovative solutions to various challenges in the field of hydraulics. TFS is a commercial partner of Bosch Rexroth and a customer of other leading companies in various sectors of hydraulic components, including Sauer Danfoss, Casappa, Hydreco, Hydac, Linde, Kawasaki, Parker, Staffa, Commercial Hydraulics and many others, all listed in our catalogue.

Thanks to these partnerships, TFS is able to offer companies operating in the gas, oil and energy sectors, in general, the following solutions:

With regard to the last point—namely the maintenance, repair and reconditioning of components and systems—TFS understands that a hydraulic system is subject not only to the usual wear and tear caused by the passage of time, but also to a range of additional issues related to oil filtration and specific stress conditions.

To meet the needs of companies in the gas, oil and energy industries, TFS has standardised its production processes, to the extent that it has been UNI EN ISO 9001 certified since 1999. Thanks to the expertise of its specialist technicians, TFS offers a service protocol comprising the following steps:

  1. telephone consultation with the customer to identify potential causes of the problem and explore possible solutions;
  2. on-site visit within 48 hours for a thorough assessment of the issue. At this stage, there are two possible outcomes:
    1. if the solution in point 1 proves correct, TFS will be able to carry out the repair immediately;
    2. conversely, if the solution in point 1 proves to be incomplete or incorrect, the system requiring repair will be transported to the TFS workshops; in the event of repair at the TFS workshops, the time taken to return the system to the customer depends on the availability of spare parts in stock and, therefore:
  3. in the event of repairs at the TFS workshops, the time taken to return the system to the customer depends on the availability of spare parts in stock and, therefore:
    1. up to 72 hours, if spare parts are in stock;
    2. up to 10 days, if the necessary spare parts need to be ordered.

Thanks to the standardisation of service procedures and collaboration with world-leading manufacturers of hydraulic components, Tecno Fluid Service is attending OMC 2019 in Ravenna with the right credentials to compete effectively with its rivals. At the same time, aware that we operate in a constantly evolving world characterised by the arrival on the market of innovations from various fields, first and foremost automation and Information and Communication Technology (ICT), TFS will be present to gather ideas and solutions, forge collaborative relationships and exchange views in order to develop solutions suited to this change. All with the aim of continuously improving the processes and products we offer.
